Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CloudTech Review ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit cloudtechreview.net (the "Site"). We aim to keep this short and readable rather than legalistic.
Information we collect
We collect only what's necessary to operate and improve the Site:
- Basic analytics and advertising data. When you visit a page, standard web server logs may record your IP address, the pages you viewed, referring URL, browser type, and the date and time of the request. We also use Google tag (gtag.js) to measure traffic and, where applicable, to measure the performance of our Google Ads campaigns (conversion and remarketing). This may involve cookies set by Google.
- Contact form submissions. If you use our contact form or email us at hello@cloudtechreview.net, we receive the information you provide — such as your name, email address, and message — so we can respond.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content
- Respond to messages and correction requests you send us
- Understand which articles are useful so we can write better ones
- Detect and prevent abuse, spam, or attacks against the Site
We don't sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. We also don't share your email address with advertisers or affiliate networks.
Cookies
The Site may set small text files (cookies) in your browser to support basic functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. In particular, Google's advertising cookies (set by gtag.js) help us understand whether visitors who click our Google Ads arrive at the Site and engage with its content. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still work without them. To opt out of personalized advertising from Google, see adssettings.google.com.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google tag (gtag.js) / Google Ads — measurement of traffic and the performance of our advertising campaigns (including conversion tracking and remarketing). Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy, and Google's advertising policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Our hosting provider — receives standard server request logs as part of delivering the Site to you.
Data retention
We retain server logs for a limited period for debugging and security purposes, and then discard them. We retain contact form and email messages for as long as necessary to respond and keep a record of the correspondence.
Your rights
If you'd like a copy of any personal data we hold about you, or you'd like us to delete it, email us at hello@cloudtechreview.net and we'll take care of it. If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have specific rights under applicable privacy laws — the same email address is the right place to exercise them.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted here so returning visitors can see what changed.
